Juniata River, Dauphin Co, 8/4/13

Spent a few hours on the Juniata Sunday. Kinda windy, other than that it was a great couple hours on the water. Dumped the kayak in at the Clark's Ferry bridge and paddled up a few hundred yards past the next bridge to a set of shallow riffles. Floated back down and picked up just shy of a dozen smallies. Nothing too big, but with the low clear water under a bluebird sky between the hours of 2-5, I'll take it. Most fish came on a fish skull #6 bugger. Got a few on a gurgler which is always fun. For all of us in the harrisburg area, we should set up a WW float/mini jam before it cools down too much... Here's a few pics to enjoy

Nice to know people are getting out and catchin smallies. I've been out a bunch this year.

How do you like that Native Slayer? I recognized it in your photo. I've been looking at getting one of the to replace my old beat up kayak.

Dude, it's a fly fishing MACHINE! Like everything else, it has it's pros n cons. Not the fastest boat, and at 70lbs with nothing on it, I'm happy for the wheel as it makes for easy transportation. Stability standing up fly casting is like a dream. Once your accustomed to it, you can move around like your on the flats with a push pole haha! Honestly, I love it. Well worth every dollar.
