Nymphed w/ BH GRHE for 1hr 10 min up until dark. Water temp ranged from 64-67 deg F. Chose a stretch with limestone bedrock outcroppings, assuming that there might be some springs upwelling along the stream bottom. Turned out that I found two near the shore while I caught two BT in the middle of the stream. Rolled one other trout. Some fish were rising to a few sulphurs. Acceptable fishing to me because a week ago trout were moving and dying due to warm temps. That I recorded at 73 deg F.

The upcoming forecast looks dim for some streams to maintain adequate temps for long.

Yeah ^

Bring along a stringer and have a fillet knife handy to harvest stockies when the water temps are predicted to rise to lethal levels.

This is the time of year I start to whack stockies to eat in my local STWs that get warm in summer.

With that said, the local streams around me are unseasonably cold as of yesterday.
