Nymphed the Jordan for three hrs this morning on the 9-noon “suburbanite shift” and did poorly. Caught 2 RT on a gold-ribbed hare’s ear and a San Juan Worm. No action on an inch worm imitation or Prince Nymph. I was “schooled” by a bait angler, however, who followed me for the first half hour and caught four from spots near-by or where I had fished. Water was 66 deg F and somewhat off-color. Assume it was muddy yesterday. My results mirrored those of a session earlier this week.

I fished the Jordan on Wed the 8th and Fri the 10th. Surprised there are still a lot of fish left after the pounding it gets at Wehr's dam. Caught over a doz. both days, mostly rainbows and a few browns. Fished my own generic brown and olive nymphs and some emergers.

Question for you Mike, since the beginning of the season I've noticed there are two distinctly different looking rainbows that were stocked. One is brighter, more silvery, usually missing a lot of scales, I'm assuming from being caught and released and the other is more an olive green with a smoother almost brookie texture. Know anything about these different strains?
