I also fished the Jordan yesterday. Got out about 9A.M. and fished a section for about an hr. without a hit. Drove to another spot and caught a nice rainbow.
Was really just biding my time, waiting for anglers to leave and the water to warm. After eating a sandwich I drove to another section in
the middle. Fish really turned on in the afternoon. I fished till about 6:30 and ended the day with 71, almost all rainbows with 4 or 5 browns.
Fished a caddis and prince nymph all day. I have to hand it to Fish Commission, these were some of the nicest average size trout ever caught, I'd say they averaged 11" with lots of 12-14"ers.
It was nice to finally have a day where the fish cooperated. I've been out quite a bit pre season both class A and DHALO waters and mostly struggled to catch many fish.
