Nymphed from 10 AM until noon with a Prince Nymph tied in metallic green (to replace red) and a Pheasant-tail. Caught 8 RT, ST, BT; lost 5; kept 5. Three other anglers seen, but none in the stretch that I nymphed. Water only slightly discolored, flow good, and water temp 64 deg F at noon. No rising fish. Saw a black caddis, a few tan caddis, and two sulphurs.

Thanks for that update, Mike! I'll be visiting the area next week and may give it a shot. Sounds like a healthy amount of fish. Thoughts on how this weekend's heat wave will impact them?

The stream gets warm….no doubt about it, but with the good flows right now from recent storms the trout may catch a break. I am curious how well the temps will stand up to the heat this time so I may try to solve my biologist’s curiosity this weekend by biking over with my thermometer to check the temps a few times.
