Is the run fully over? (erie steel)

Hello, im taking a trip up to erie / the erie area to try and get on a few lake run bows and was wondering if anyone has nay insight on how many are left in the creeks.

Fwiw. I would think so as well, though I have seen zero fishermen on the uncle John webcams for many days now.

Just talked to a customer of mine in Erie on Friday afternoon and she said they’re still catching them on the larger streams like Elk.

Lots of water and water temperature is still low. Ohio still has fish too

Suckers in the mix too. I kinda like catching a 20in + sucker up at elk this time of year its a truly native run.. and not stocked lol

In years of past with cool, wet springs I fished and caught fish into late May.
Erie is +4" of rain for the month with 8 days to go. She has been a wet spring up here.

Caught two Steelhead 3rd week of May one year on Elk. Not old crusty hold overs either.

ended up hooking into 3 on elk, 6 on conneaut! 27” hog stole the show for sure though!

I remember one cool wet spring about 25 years ago when my kids were young we went on a day trip to splash lagoon in early june...stopped by the 79 mckean exit hole on way home and i seen a few steelhead milling around

That was a cold spring too as I remember back. I think a saw one or two into mid June that year up by elk park road.
