Honey Creek - Tea Creek, 2/17/2008

Visited Tea creek on the 27th. Caught a few nothing to write home about. The biggest was about 11" There wasn't much water to fish and I wasn't sure what was posted and what wasn't so I headed to the Park at Honey Creek. Hooked into the browns right of way with several nice 11 to 12" fish. I caught a number of small rainbows and one about 9" They didn't look stocked because the color was good and fins weren't damaged. Anyone else catch rainbows there? Also there was a good size distibution something that is making me think thy were wild.
After catching a few at Honey I decided to take a ride to East Branch of Standing Stone. I fished up by the park, not much water there. Spent more time snagged in trees so I packed it in.
If anyone can provide me any insight on the rainbows drop me a line

The rainbows are stocked fingerlings up from the kish. For some reason they like honey but not to many head up into tea, at least not real far.

The reason they don't head too far in the tea is because there is a man-made dam at the reedsville fire company, or they would inhabit the entire stream. The tea's temp stays a lot higher in the winter and has a higher insect population than the honey. However, there is bows all the way up to the dam.
