Honey Creek 6/1/2008

My dad and I decided to stop at Honey on the way home from the cabin. First time fishing this stream. We stopped at the park, split up , dad downstream, me upstream.

I had great success with a black and green bh bugger. Caught half a dozen and had many more short strikes, misses and chases.

This is an awesome stream and we both agreed we had to spend more time on it in the near future.

Which park did you stop at?
Reeds Gap State Park, Reedsville Community, or something different?

Im guessing Reedsville community park, it was the first place to pull over and park once you turned onto Walnut street/honey creek road. There is a farm on the upstream side of the park with cows and such.

That's a nice stretch.

I like the one about a mile upstream; there's 2 pull-offs one on each side of the road.
