Hickory Run - Carbon County - 11/15/19

[Out4Trout]

So I got a chance to get out a little this afternoon and chase some brookies in Hickory Run State Park. The water was crystal clear and pretty low. It was also very cold. There was quite a bit of ice to deal with around the edges and in deeper runs but I managed to make it through okay.

Was a beautiful day to be out and there were plenty of aggressive brookies willing to play the game. Had to once again resort to the green weenie but hey, you gotta go with what works.

I really enjoy this stretch of water and its always my go to when I need a quick fix since its minutes from my house.

Nice outing with great pictures , I only live a few miles away and yet I only hit up hickory run about twice a year. I really got to get there more.

out4trout, Thanks for the invite and I will take you up on that offer. I am only in the area for 3 years and am still learning the area for fishing. I look forward to fishing with someone who actually knows the local streams.

Weenie strikes again! Is this type of fishing called "micro fishing"? I saw some videos on youtube where they call it that. Some guys even have tiny rods and reels they use for it. Looks like fun.
