With a little warmer temp today, I decided to get out and see if the brookies were still around in Hickory Run. Water was cold and flowing just a bit above normal level but was crystal clear. I fished from 1 to 2pm and caught 6 brookies all released to fight another day. It was very peaceful out there today and nice now that all the leaf hatches are over. I fished above 534.

Tight Lines !!

Good job taking advantage of today's weather. I'm still trying to shoot a buck during my free time. How are you fishing that green weenie? With an indicator?

Thanks man, we need to hook up sometime as I owe you a lunch at least for giving me the fly tying kit. I am now addicted to tying my own flies. So yesterday the best way to get hits with the green weenie was to dead drift it but also after the swing let it just kinda hang in the current and thats when I got most hits. It would kinda flutter back and forth in the slight current and they would hit it.
