Better than I fared today. I lost 4 streamers that were 7$ a piece, broke off on one in the low 20s because I was too lazy to check my knots, and had my waders completely fail leaving me soaked up to the waist in 50 degree water

Nice catch. GG

Where did you find 50 degree water. Must be limestone influnced...in my neck o the woods temps been in 40s last 3 weeks. Browns already spawned or some are just finishing up

It was all over the place on this stream. I saw fish paired up as early as one month ago and also saw some either recently constructed or abandoned redds yesterday. I saw 5 redds total on about a mile of creek, one of them had a 18-19 inch male sitting on it that seemed reluctant to spook as I walked past, another had two actively spawning fish (both in the 16-17 inch range) which was fun to watch for a while

Ok lol

I would have bet the farm that one of you was east and the other west. Apples and oranges.

Limestone influence would be the first thing that most anglers would reasonably consider, but there could be various pond and operating quarry/flooded quarry discharges to a stream that could slow a stream’s seasonal cooling process. Such quarries do not have to be limestone quarries, as there are and have been other mined minerals/materials in Pennsylvania. Streams could also get the same temperature effects from deep coal mining related discharges and flooded mine pits.
