Hawk Creek/Mud Run, Carbon Cty. 9.10.17

First time on both. Hawk Creek was a blast. Lots of little brooks. Cold and there were a few bugs around. Missed a ton, landed a few.

Worked down to Mud Run. Good looking water. Again cold and quite a few BWO's and what looked to be sulphurs. Missed a few in the faster water. Only fished a small length near the junction of Hawk Creek.

Nice report. Always wanted to fish hawk but there are always so many people there. What size were the brookies?

They were in the 6" range. My son hooked into a much bigger one but it escaped on the barbless hook.

We did not see anyone on Hawk as most people were taking the trail down to the bottom. Parking was an issue. I think we photo bombed a wedding photo near the bridge.
