I am truly thankful for this forum and all of you who help me learn more about this amazing sport.

I am thankful for everyone who participated in the fly swaps. Your flies are amazing.

I am thankful for all of the people I have met, whether in person or by PM.

Be thankful, all of this is a gift!

The wife and I are eating out so I don't have to cook or travel far and the Christmas decorating has been done since last week so we have nothing to do except relax and enjoy each other's company.

I would like to wish all the folks here at PAFF a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully it’s a time where we can sit back and relax a bit and spend some time with family and friends. My son and his wife, who both serve in the Army at Joint Base Lewis McCord out in Tacoma, WA are flying in to spend a couple of days with us over Thanksgiving. I’m very thankful they are getting the opportunity to do that and I’m really looking forward to seeing them and catching up.

Happy TG everyone. Spatchcocked ours this year. Was a smaller one I got from work and suited well to a spatchcock. Compound butter under the breast skin and baste with it every 15 mins. All day fire outside.

Got a handful of little fish and a couple relaxing hours in the woods. Ok, ready for the madness...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Donated my turkey every year to a family who could use it. Chinese food tonight with my wife and kids lol. Then a formal Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday when everyone can get together . Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Happy with the final product. Superior moisture retention in the breast meat to a traditional roast. Could see how anything bigger than about 15 lbs would be difficult though.
