I went for a run and thought lower Hammer looked nice. I headed back and fished at Buch Mill Road. I tossed a black bugger and not even a bump from a chub or fallfish. I did hear couple splashy rises of some sort on the upstream side but nothing when I checked it out. I headed up a bit into a restoration area from a number of years. Suddenly the water turned dirty and nasty looking. I did see a few sulfurs coming off. The whole project is pretty much a mess. It was nice a number of years ago and became a popular spot. Now I am not sure if it was even stocked this year. I have barely seen a soul there this year. The farmer who has a bridge on his lane just posted the bridge hole this year. It is right ion the middle of a short stocked stretch.

Next, I headed to Middle Creek at Middle Creek Road and Lime Rock Road. There was nobody here either. It looked like the sportsman's club had recently stocked there usual spots on Hammer and Middle and that's where all the cars were. There were a lot of midges in the air and again some sulfurs. There were a number of rising fish but I missed a number on a sulphur. I am not totally sure they were taking the sulphurs as I had to put a lot of casts on them. I am still 0 for the season. But it was nice to get out with no fisherman and getting to fish some dries.
