Got to the creek at the county park around 9:00. We 1st did the water testing for the Conservation district. Afterwards, we fished in park for about an hour. Years of flooding continue to widen the stream with lots of silt. Still, some good fishy looking areas. Had a couple misses on stockers. We did see some caddis and some craneflies. Good news was I am almost positive I saw about a 10-inch brookie. No sign of any smaller wild browns. We moved upstream and fishing was really slow. The creek looked great and it was a beautiful day. My friend did hook a large rainbow that came off. We had a few strikes from smaller wilds but didn't catch any. I really expected better success. We fished from about 10:30 to 1:30. There were a scattering of guys in the park. One guy caught 3 on worms and I saw 1 guy catch one off the bridge. Other 6 guys I saw caught nothing. Nice day but slow.
