Gunpowder River, Carroll Co. MD, 5/28/11

Fished from early afternoon yesterday 5/28 until dark. Sulphers were sporadic at best and there wasn't any spinner fall to speak of , apparently we were to far down on the river and you should fish above Bunker Hill road if you want to fish the hatch. I did manage to catch 7 by swinging caddis emergers in the riffles.

If you get to the Gunpowder again, maybe for the tricos or olives, you can fish below Bunker Hill and have a lot of success. Your approach was perfect...swinging anything in the rifles will take fish in the gunpowder.

And for the record, you were in Baltimore County, not Carroll county.
