For the first time in about 6 weeks, I finally had a chance to spend a few short hours on the Gunpowder this weekend. The flows are back down, and the water is very clear. Watched some fish feeding on midges, and actually caught one on a tiny little parachute midge pattern I bought when I first started fishing...not sure the size...maybe a 26? Definitely the smallest dry I have ever caught a fish on. Landen another one on a 18 griffiths gnat. It was nice to get out and hold a couple of wild trout in my hand. Work and school have been kicking my *** lately, so this trip was appreciated more than most.
