Fished the gp today from 230-7 above Falls road. Sulphers were popping off the entire time. The browns were eager to take on the surface, the takes were very aggressive and commited. I find that as the hatch continues they get a little more cautious. All browns, mostly between 8-11 inches. The water temps were in the high 50s, air high 70s. The flow was 90 cfs and falling. I only saw one other fisherman and that was as I was leaving. I thought about sticking around to see if there was a spinner fall(pretty sure there was) but I was worn out from a long day working and fishing. The dry fly season is pretty great just wish the western md rivers weren't blown out for weeks. Looks like I might have to invade the State College area this weekend. 🙂 I'm sure there aren't enough people on the water up there already.
