When I moved to York my job allowed me to sample all the waters in a 1 hour radius rather frequently. I found the Gunpowder at the top of the list for "quality trout stream" compared to all the agricultural ditches that hold wild trout and larger more remote streams that got warm. The only downfall was the size the fish. Way too many dinks.
Then came Didymo, And the felt ban, and the wader stations, and the two pairs of waders, and the washing, and the drying, the repeating.
I have not had a MD license since.
It appears from the video not much has changed.
Lotsa little skippers.
But the location and scenery and cold water does make for a pleasant experience. The sulfur hatch is exceptional. It used to be my "after supper easy chair" for an hour or so. then back home for nite nites.
