So I jumped out of work in Pittsburgh to drive to more work in Grantham...decided to stop and fish in Green Spring because I had never been there. It was a pretty little stream with quite a bit of silt in the stream beds...I fished with scuds and FBPT for a bit with no luck except for catching creek chubs...switched to a white bugger which brought a chunky Rock Bass to hand...decided to cheat and switched up to a pink egg and pink Weenie...brought three nice Rainbows to hand. All were very solid and gave a decent short fight. I know...it isn't fly fishing purity to use such flies...but it was nice to finally catch some trout.
