Is anyone using the Fulling Mill thread? If so, how do you like it? Does it work well for the split thread technique?
Thanks
Thanks
I just bought a spool of the "flat" and let me tell ya - It lays down super flat. I will definitely be grabbing more of this in the near future. Is anyone using the Fulling Mill thread? If so, how do you like it? Does it work well for the split thread technique?

Just stopped at my local shop and grabbed two more spools of Brown and Dark Brown.@SlingingWets Thanks for the confirmation. I am a big fan of Fulling Mills stuff generally and saw this, but figured thread is thread (I know all the variations, but still.).
Will pick some up.
Similar as far as lay down "weight" if you want to call it that. Super strong, but I've tied with ton's of differnt threads over they years and if you're looking for a thread that lays flat and you can spin up to sinch stuff down, it works wonderfully. I still love my old 12/0 Benicchi (and I have over 200 spools of it because I used to buy it by the sleeve) but they are two completely different animals. I would use this over Benicchi and Uni.How does it compare to Semper Fli?
suck it up and add another dowell to the spool rack! LOLOh no! Another must have for my desk.

The Fulling Mill is flat off the spool. So no unwinding corded thread or spinning the bobbin. They lay down very similar when uncorded. I'm not here trying to sell the stuff but it is very good. I've come to appreciate "flat" thread more than corded especially when you build a body with thread for a particular pattern. Is there a comparison between the SF flat thread and UTC thread?
