Working about a mi. from stream so left a little early and arrived around three. The area I fished was near the Pughtown Rd. bridge in the open water. Fished mostly pocket water, though I did dredge some out from a couple deep holes. Weather sunny and breezy, creek low and clear. and a lot of tan caddis 14-16 coming off. Soft hackle bh, and a 14 caddis pupa was about all I needed. Caught a good number of fish, and it was just tough enough to interest me. Most fish hit on a dead drift, though one brown smacked it at the end of a swing while I was looking upstream; everyone needs at least one lucky fish! Nice first day out for me.
