Fished from 1 -4:30pm yesterday on the FFO C&R section above the covered bridge. Water temp 49 degrees.

Just learned to tie the Muddler Minnow on Tuesday night at my class. My neighbor, who I was with yesterday, - it's his favorite fly. I've never fished with it. So I tied up a few for our day on French Creek.

He was the first to land a fish, and you guessed it - Muddler Minnow. However, it wasn't enough for me to switch over from the PH and HE I was using, without any success. I was thinking, "even a blind squirrel find an acorn".

Eventually I did make the switch, and I started catching fish, as well as missing a lot of others.

dsleader, sounds like you did well. I was on the same stretch Thursday between 10:000 & 2:00. Water temp was 42. Caught two on a black woolybugger and mised a couple of others. I think it was a matter of running the fly right by their noses before they'd move.

Nope, but given how high the water was, they must have run out of wader pretty quick 🙂
