Fished French Creek FFO section for second time this year on 4/25. Absolutely no activity, at the bend. No fish seen or caught either time. Is anybody catching fish near the bend? I talked to a young fellow who said he did well below Hollow road. Yesterday I fished Valley from about 3 to 6 and did pretty good. Stream is in great shape. Caddis and Cranes were hatching, caught a couple on a streamer but a #18 dark caddis seemed to do the trick.

I went to the FFO section of French Creek opening weekend and got 3 bows and 2 browns in about 4 hours. I went there again the 14th an managed a few chubs (but thats no accomplishment) and 3 rainbows.
I noticed that when I went the 14th there were almost no fish compared to when i went on opening weekend. I only cought those 3 bows in one deep hole. I saw about 6-7 other anglers in that section, and I think I was the only one to catch anything.
I thought that was kind of strange considering they stocked that section on 4/10. However, there were serious flooding rains on 4/11, 12, 13, and I think it may have pushed the fat and sluggish stockies downstream, out of the FFO section. Either that or people are poaching the s**t out of the FFO section.

I was there on 4/23 for a couple hours in the morning. Caught one 12" hard-earned rainbow downstream of the bend. This was the only fish I saw rise while I was there, and didn't see or get any indication of any other fish. I fished up to maybe a quarter mile upstream of the bend. This was the only time I fished there this year. Hopefully there are decent numbers in there, and they are just hunkered down right now.
