Went out to the open area near Pughtown Rd. with my brother yesterday afternoon. Water was high and off color; weather mixed clouds and low sixties. More anglers than usual since it was a stocking day. However, the high water will disperse the fish, so it should be good for awhile. The spin guys weren't doing much, possibly since most didn't know they were looking at ideal conditions for hardware. No real hatches, just a few caddis, and I stuck to my typical dredging style. A beadhead fished deep produced several trout, but it wasn't all that exciting, as a lot of the features of the stream were masked by the high flow. I was working five min. from the stream, so it was a nice diversion on a Fri. afternoon.

Fished it on the 30th at the covered bridge on hollow road from 6:30am-9am. Very little top water action. Activity increased as it warmed up but by that time we had to go. Picked up two on a dead drifted black woolly bugger. Had a few bumps on a swung wet fly. Not sure what it was, I got it as part of a pack from Trout Unlimited. It's got a green chanile body and red/orange hackle, no tail. Can't seem to find it anywhere. The closest I've found is a Carey Special but the hackle is not pheasant tail.
