Arrived around 8:30 or so and fished till mid afternoon along the dirt road. Water was low and clear, but in better shape than the last time I fished there. Weather was cloudy and cool, and the water was 62. Bugs were sparse; what looked like Olives, a few caddis, and small Sulphers. Fished down almost the whole time with caddis pupa and soft hackle, though I did miss one on top on a no. 18 BWO. Decent supply of fish left, and most were caught in the fast riffles and pockets. Mix of rainbows and browns 10-13''. Landed over a dozen but less than 2, and missed more than I got; no surprise there. My new wading boots worked well, even though I settled for the bargain Cabela's brand; the cleats were in place. Hope we get more rain soon!
