Had to meet my sister near Kimberton and decided to hit French, probably my last chance til Fall.
Weather: mixed Sun and clouds, 70's with a light breeze. Water was well above median flow with a slight tinge; mid 60s though undoubtedly got way warmer later.
Hatches: nothing notable though I was fishing morning til very early afternoon
Tackle: 10' 3/4 with a sighter and 4x to a bh caddis pupa with a black ant dropper on 5x
Fished my pet spots and never made it to one of my favs; fishing was steady in the fast riffs and runs. Quality of the fish was nice with the average 12-13" and a couple that went 14". Landed at least a doz. and hooked and lost a few more. Of course also missed some as well. Lots of fun battles and some nice looking fish for stockers. Despite my energy reserves being down, and slightly shakey hands it felt great to catch some feisty trout. It was extremely slippery; studs and a wading staff kept me upright.
