Fished the Narrows section from about 9-12 today. The day started off a little less than ideal, as I got to the water around 8 only to realize that the tip of my rod was missing. after retracing my steps for nearly an hour I miraculously came across it. The day started off slow, with the water high but very fishable, with a nice green tint. I had no luck nymphing for the first hour or so. I'm happy to report however that at about 10:15, a massive, and I mean massive grannom hatch began. After about a half hour the fish began to get on them, rising in shaded areas. I caught 3 on the day, all on grannom dries. This was the first time I've caught fish on dries so far this year, so it was great to get out. When I left around 12 grannoms were still coming off in massive numbers. I began to see some mayflies also, some hendrickson's for sure, and others that looked to me like red quills, although I'm not sure if that's accurate.
