Fishing Creek, Clinton Co. 2/13/07

Fished Fishing Creek today (11:30 -- 2:00). Cold and snowy. Only a few nibbles for most of us, but one of my buddies landed 1 brookie and 1 brownie, both about 12". We decided to call the day short because my good buddie broke the tip off of his rod (easy fix right). Then when we got home to fix it, he sliced off another 4 inches in the door of my truck. Not bad for his first day winter fly fishing. :-o

That stream is like precious few others. The trout your holding in your icon reminds me of their colors. Their strength is second to none. Almost freakish. Know what your buddy had on his line?

My friend who broke his rod had ice on the tip of his rod and when he went to pick it off the rod snaped. Talk about dumb luck; the blank wasn't a good one, but I feel it was brittle because it was about 20 degrees.
