Time fished: 12:30-3
Air Temp: 60 degrees
Hatches: a few isos and bwos
Water: high for this time of year and clear
I got the chance to sneak away for a few hours so I headed to the narrows. As soon as I got to the water I saw some bwos but no surface activity. I decided to try a sculpin pattern and see if I could find a streamer bite. I had one good fish ( probably 15-17inches) follow but not commit. Switched to nymphing pocket water and missed another brown ( about 12 inches) and landed a 7-8 inch brookie. Wanted to fish longer but ending up blowing out the soles of not one, but both wading boots. That's the last time I buy a cheaper pair. It was nice to get out however, and i had the stream to myself.
