Fishing and Spring Creeks, Clinton, Centre, 3/13/18

Happy for all the MD guys catching fish, but it is getting good in PA too if you can brave the hypothermia :-D
Air: 28 to 35 degrees with wind and some post-storm squalls
Water: Fishing Creek was 35 to 37 F, and Spring was in the 40s.
Hatches: Plenty of size 18 olives on Spring. The bigger, first batch of BWO's starting in the snowy hills, but stoneflies were still the ticket on Fishing.
Flows: Fishing was a bit heavy and green; 135 or so at Spring.

I was only half-joking about hypothermia, as I did take my first knee (well, knees) of the year, and got a little bath, but nothing fresh cloths, the car heater, and a patient fishing buddy couldn't salvage. We did really well on Fishing Creek tightlining the slower seams of the usual haunts, and we landed a bunch of fish, including half a dozen in the 14 to 17 inch range. We hit the tail end of the olives on Spring on the way back to my buddy's house in town. He got a couple on the surface, but I picked away on the edges with a walts and a pt; most took the pt dropper on the tag line. The first pic is a better Spring Creek fish, the rest are from Fishing. That is usually what I do, timmyt. I have a buddy out there, and he can be free on weekdays like me, especially early and late in the year. I have a floor I can crash on if needed, but he usually has to work the next day, and so do I, so my own bed sounds nice, even when I end up leaving after a 9 PM sulfur hatch in May!

I can be free on weekdays too, thats when i was thinking of doing it. Figure less traffic if you travel at the right times and hopefully less fisherman on the waters. I have fished out there a bunch of times, its pretty much 3 hours each way from what i recall.

Thinking of going next week for the bwos on spring one day. I REALLY need to get out
