Fish movement during a day

Sorry you peasants rise at dawn like you're going to till the fields. I'm a gentleman, and I keep gentlemen's hours.
Yeah, we proletariat feel more comfortable in Sheetz with nurses and contractors, landscapers speaking Spanish on the phone in the stall next to you. Too much cologne and pipe smoke after 9 AM 😊

I started using this approach a few years ago. Quickly found out that some people have no issue hiking the hills above you to drop in upstream of you. Even when they know you’re there. Not talking easy access type places but places that require a lengthy hike to reach and are off the beaten path. I know public land is all fair game but still a pretty f up move.
I feel ya, but dropping down isn't an option on the streams I fish most often. The topography just won't allow it. You'd just have to get there before me to be upstream of me. 😉

Never say never
I'll never say never, but it hasn't happened to me in 20+ years. I did however, have a couple guys do that to me once, one early morning on a remote wild stream. But, it was near the mouth of this particular stream, where the access was much easier. I just left, because playing hopscotch wouldn't be practical at all on this stream.

I actually was on the water by 7 am today. I had a tip about broodstock rainbows stacked up below a dam that gets juiced around 9 am, so you have to be there early. I figured since everything else is hot and low, why not pop some monster welfare fish?

The rainbow trout in question, in its habitat of 70 degree water:

I should've cultivated a hangover and stayed in bed like the aristocrat I am.

Also, I first read that as "Fly Fishing with Chuck Palahniuk," and that would have gotten me much more curious to watch.
Rise at dawn, chit you mean been on the road for 2 hrs before dawn

Well I'm doing it tomorrow morning,of course no Bozeman

And may you catch all the fish, my friend.

I will be having a very different morning, as I'm tying flies and cultivating a dandy of a hangover in order to fortify myself for a day of working from home and negotiating with a plumber to repair a non-functional hot water heater. A joyous occasion, to be sure...

I stayed home and cut firewood lol going to try fishing Thursday, today is the less humid day of the week so I cut wood instead,

Because of where I live (around Pittsburgh) I tended to do a lot of spin fishing over the past several years. My favorite is evening/night fishing the Allegheny. Dead water during the day is full of bass and walleye at night and I almost always spook a monster wading back to shore. I don’t live close enough to good trout water to try night fishing but I’m sure it’s a blast.
