Fished the FF at the Dallastown bridge where Nelson Run enters last evening. Water is low and clear. Close to 70 degree water temp I would guess. The T-storm we got in Coudy yesterday didn't seem to effect the FF like it did the Allegany. It didn't seem like it rained at all over there.
Fish were really selective with no major hatch or spinner fall. Some yellow drakes came off at about 9:00 and there were some tiny green caddis....at least I think they were caddis. I couldn't seem to catch one to get a closer look.
I did manage one nice rainbow about 14" on a #16 blue quill and missed a couple others on various different patterns. There were a couple guys right at the confluence of Nelson and FF and they were catching fish using grubs or something. There were a lot of fish stacked up where Nelson flowed in. Easy pickings for them.
Bottom line, we need rain.
