Favorite Hatch

Utz Hatch using bread flies....
Just kidding...
In order of preference: BWOs, anything cream or yellow (since I can see a Light Cahill better than most other flies), Slate Drakes (typically the only drakes I use).
I really like a BWO spinner fall as well.

Sulphurs. They line up well with my work and life schedule. Iso are a close 2nd.

When I retire it very well might shift to Hendricksons.

Hendricksons. If the fish are on March Browns that would be second. Day time sulphurs on the West Branch.

BWOs and Caddis. At least here in the upper midwest where I now live, they are steady and reliable most days; never huge hatches mind you, but enough going on to fool a fish on the surface, or get them to key in on a well presented soft hackle immitation.

If you asked me 35 years ago, it would be white flies on the Little J.
