Had the FFO to myself.
CONDITIONS:
~ Air was fortyish, calm, and overcast.
~ Water was normal flow, gin clear, and 47 degrees. Aquatic vegetation has dropped back to below water line due to the recent cold air temps.
~ No insects, no surface activity, and very few fish seen.
Spent a couple hours poking around my old favorite spots. Had to work very hard to get a couple fish on cress bugs, one of which was a big stocked rainbow. Don't know how he got in there, but I'm no longer surprised to see stocked 'bows as they seem to show up everywhere. Did see a couple large redds with no fish on 'em. Otherwise, fish were very scarce. Many of my favorite areas are silted in, but some new holes have opened up and some recent improvement projects have enhanced some previously barren habitat.
