Fished Falling spring this morning from about 7:00am-11:00am. Fished downtown section off of Coldbrook ave (and a bit upstream). Fish were rising consistantly all morning...but I never quite figured out on what. My dad and I did see one or two tricos floating by (a little early yet I thought) and a some midges. I didn't land any, but missed many. Had a few takes on the foam beetle, as well as a scud, and a small midge larva pattern. I am still healing from major shoulder surgery and I seemed a little rusty...I'm blaming my slow hook-sets on that, hehe. My dad hooked a really nice brown (maybe 18") but never quite got it to hand. All in all, a very nice morning on the stream, I had alot of fun sight fishing to alot of fish even though I brought none to hand.

p.s. Has anyone else seen any tricos yet?

Dude, I'm from Greencastle too!!! I've seen tricos in the meadows and I'm glad to see beetles starting to work. I haven't had any luck on crickets and hoppers yet though. I hit the meadows today and missed 4 on a bwo. Just wasn't my day I guess. It's getting a little hard to put it in some spots now because of the cress filling the stream. It has been okay in town lately and I hope most people throw them back now that it's keeping time there. That's just my opinion though.
