Cant find my download disc from my camera so I cant show you any pics but the scenery beat out the fishing on this trip.
Its not near as crowded in the spring but neither are the fish. Still snow covered and almost muddy Walnut only gave us 6 steelhead thru friday and early sat. I saw a group poaching and turned them in but not sure what happened as we left for 16 mile. I guess I did the right this as God gave me a 27" 9 lber before we left. Not huge by those standards but still the largest I've caught to date.
Sunday I went to 20 mile for the first time and was very impressed by the stream though I caught the only one seen caught in about 3 hours. Beautiful contour with cliffs that sure looked 100 ft straight up. Never saw streams like that in Pa before.
We hit the falls at 16 mile on thew way home and the sun finally came out shining off the falls and icecles shooting out of the much smaller cliffs. Truly beautiful. I took a solid male in water that was a maximum of 20 ft acroos and my rookie buddy who had been having a weekend of frustration and lost fish got a nice female at the bell that left him wanting more and not shutting up for an hour. Nice finish.
Woolybuggers caught the largest fish in our group of four.
