I had the pleasure of hitting the Erie tribs with Albatross and David this past Saturday . We were able to fish Elk, Walnut and 20 mile. The morning started as usual with the early morning run up 79 to Elk. Where there were loads of fish a week before there were only a few a week later. Regrouped and headed to Walnut. Again not many fish, I did manage to catch a very nice buck there. The rest of the day was spent on 20 mile. After some good hiking David put us on some fish in good numbers and we were all able to land a few.

Conditions were on the low waster side and just barely stained. Temps hovered in the mid 20s for the entire day. It was cold ! Fish were caught and landed on all three streams and taken on nymphs and egg patterns. Walnut turned out to be the ticket for the day with the majority of the fish sighted there.

Great day and great company.

wow. that's hardcore.

it sounds like David is quite the guide. thanks for sharing.

Good day on the water with good friends. Had to work for the fish most of the day except late afternoon.

Apparently we got Bruno turned around and he confused lower Elk with Walnut...

It's amazing how therepeutic a nice day on the water with good company can be! Good times!
It's also funny that since I've got to spend much less time on the stream in recent years... The actual fishing was a smaller part of the experience. Don't get me wrong, I like to fish hard and hook up as often as possible, but perspectives change with life.
Thanks alby and Matt.
Ps Matt was catching every pig that we came across!
