Hit up Elk the last 2 days (and I might add so did about 100 other folks). The fishing was good- with the little bit of rain helped- although it really did'nt even make the water off-color. Pretty alright because you can sight nymph -if you will. Had good success with pink egg with cream sucker spawn dropper. (spawn was by far best fly for me) I used a small split shot about 50% of the time and just dead drift the flies without an indicator. It was neat to see the takes. Had about 2 dozen solid hookups but landed 2. My hands were shaking after a few fights. It like someone throwing bricks in the hole your fishing except they aint bricks. I think the fishing maybe good this weekend and then get worse if it does not continue to rain. Some fish are moving further up the creeks so if sharin the hole does'nt suit you start prospecting around. I will to post photo's in the stream locations.
