JackM and I spent the day on Upper Elk creek Friday. The water had a little Green tint to it in the morning, but was clearing more as the day went on. We landed a few fair hooked fish each (as well as a few foul). There were more fellow anglers on the stream than I would have thought, but with a little walking we were able to find fish to cast to without crowding anyone.

Here are a couple pics Jack shot of one of my fish. Unfortunately, I wasn't aroud to snap any of Jack's fish. It was a nice day on the water and a great way to close-out 2007.

Nice. Sounds like you guys faired a little better than me. I was on Elk the day before and the water looked to be perfect but the fishing was slow.

I had one hook-up but dont feel too bad since nobody was really hooking up. Most of the action happened late in the day and the guys floating minnows were doing pretty well.

I fished walnut that same day and it was the exact opposite the creek was kinda clear and there were very few people fishing I saw about 8-10 people fishing the whole day. The fishing was great I caught all of my fish on a green caddis larvae with a chartreuse glo bug trailing it.
