East Hickory Creek, Warren Co, 4-22-17

Mix of clouds and sun, chilly, air temp about 55 degrees. I fished from 130 to 3pm. Water temp was 46 degrees. After some days of heavy rain the creek was very high and off color. There were no insects present. I had 3 strikes on a streamer and didn't catch a fish.

With the rain and the associated front passing through a few days ago I believe the water temperature has dropped significantly so everything was hunkered down.

I was up that way today on the motorcycle(with a rod, just in case!) and didn't see any action, water still kinda high, no bugs hatching, no fish rising, and since I don't like to fish without even a hint of activity, I decided to hit some brewpubs instead!
