I fished the delayed harvest and many people were camping for the long weekend. I had kept my streamer tied on from previous stops so I started with it and only changed to a dry fly for the final 30 minutes. I fished from 545pm to 845pm. Water temp was 64 degrees. As I started to fish a little rain passed through but the fish were active during the storm. The stream got cloudy for about an hour but it cleared up. Must have been run off from a muddy road. As sunset approached the spinners began to appear: green drakes, slate drakes, pale evening dun. I also saw limited hatching of green drakes and what appeared to be a small yellow stonefly (but not yellow enough to be a yellow sally). I wasn't able to catch any to confirm the identity. I ended the night with 6 fish (brown & rainbow). Maybe the biggest news of the night was the large beaver that surfaced 3 rod lengths away. He just looked at me as he floated past and eventually dove, never to seen again.
