Time Fished: 915am - 1125am
Weather Conditions: 57 degrees, Sunny
Water Conditions: 53 degrees, Clear
Insects: Lime and Yellow Sallies, Couple Mayflies
First time I made it here. Wanted to come last year but it got blown out. Drove upstream quite a way. Picked a random spot, tied on a dry and fished upstream. The area would be forested for awhile, then you’d enter an old Beaverdam Meadow and then go back into the forest. Was very neat. What seemed to dictate the higher fish population was the drop in elevation. Stretches of fast water held 3 times the fish as the deep slow pools. When I would come up on a nice hole, the trout would be in the faster riffle instead of in the deep water. I caught 6 brook and 5 brown a yellow humpy.
As I got close to where I parked I saw a hen grouse with chicks cross the road. No one else fishing.
