First time fishing it. Cool little stream. Fished the atw water. Stream must be pretty healthy. Saw multiple herons and other large birds. Whether it was a hawk or osprey or something i dont know.

Stream has alot of fast water and a alot of dammed up pools. Some slower, some fast deep channels and chutes.

Anyway, some fish were rising occasionally. I fished all subsurface on micro nymphs and midges. Rolled a few big boys. Landed a few small ones. Caught trout, sunnies, fall fish, small mouth.

Water was warmer in the flat stretches and cold in the deeper pools.

Fish were heavily pressured.

Sounds like a pretty good outing for that stream! Nice brookies. A few weeks ago I caught my first golden rainbow on the fly rod from the pool on the right side of your second picture. It was one of four in that pool, did you see any there?

@Mariner

The Brandywine trout club stocks the brookies. They have their run right smack in the middle of Kerr park.

PSU, Yes, there was one small golden up in that pool by a tree. He couldnt of been more then 8 inches.
