I introduced a buddy from church to Dunbar Creek this afternoon. The creek was lower and clearer than I expected, almost summer conditions. The freshly stocked fish, however, were not nearly as spooky as the fish get on Dunbar in summer. Hare's Ear nymphs were the ticket today with or without bead. We both caught enough fish to enjoy our afternoon. I caught my first tiger trout today. I had heard that there were some tigers in Dunbar.
We were there from about 2:30 to 5:30. Didn't see rising fish, although each of us had a fish hit our strike indicator once. It may have been a little too bright this afternoon for rising fish.
