Greg and I went to Dunbar Creek. Greg arrived about 830 AM and I arrived about 9:45. We went to the gamelands lot at the end of the gravel road. The water was high, fast and a little chalky. We decided to walk upstream above the stocked section.
On the way, I caught a couple stocked brook trout. Greg already had one from before I arrived.
Just before the Little Dunbar/Glade split, Greg got a real nice native. Maybe he'll add a picture. We each got a couple more standard-sized ones before we headed back to the stocked section.
The air temps went from low forties to high 50s by about 200 PM. It began to cool again and was in the low 50s when we quit at about 530 PM. Water was cold, but I didn't get a temp. We may have seen a few stoneflies and Greg mentioned seeing a BWO or blue quill. There were also a few grey caddis seen on the rocks. We might have seen a rise or two in the stocked water which we retreated to around 330 PM. Greg smashed them in the jack dam.
