Arrived at 1:30pm fished till 4:30. Fished the project near the rifle range. (sometimes getting startled with the gunfire) Some snow remained in the shade of the mountain from the flurries in the early morning.
Water was much lower than I anticpated and was cold and clear. Saw ziltch in the way of bug activitiy. Cast my double nymph rig through a larger hole near a log jam with a good sized brookie coming up to smash my indicator only to get foul hooked after his pass.
Did manage 1 good sized brookie in a 3-4ft deep glide on a #16 baetis nymph.
flyfishermanJ- did I see you there yesterday?????
Paul
ps- my hard drive blew- so writing to you from the library- you know cause I came to pick up a copy of the fly-tying bible
