Jan 9th, 2013.

"The Surface of the pool was covered with tiny mayflies and fish were working everywhere, what a day! " Ooo really..!

My scene was probably opposite; nothing flying or emerging from the rocks, a day rather on the moody side.
With the hundreds or more pictures and stories post every day on internet this Brown looks not like a trophy, but this is the first fish of the year I wrapped my fingers around.

The day was gloomy when I fished with heavy rain poring for an hour.
Later comes out the sun to bright up a bit small valley but I was gone
I used white/yellow streamer with the glass head which I tied last night in a hurry
Water temp. 38F, air 42F and wind probably 5-10pmh.

Fishing is great in the rain? Dress warm and enjoy, dude.

Congratulations Jared. I'm still have not wet a line in 2013, but hopefully that will change Saturday.

Jared, The first fish of the year that you wrap your fingers around, is ALWAYS a trophy! Well done.

I think JayL once quipped that a fish picture should never show the thumb pointed toward the fingers.
