Got out this morning to Dunbar Creek, fished from where the Betty Knocks access road ends at the gas pipeline upstream to Glade Run. This was the first time for me to venture beyond where they stock all of the fish around the stream improvements. The stream was low and clear and 61 degrees at 8:30 AM, I forgot to grab a temp when I finished up around 2PM. I fished a cinnamon cadis dry with a cadis nymph dropped while moving upstream. Caught 5 small brook trout and one large one on this setup, about 50/50 split top/bottom. The first photo is of the first fish which was a small wild/native brookie caught on the dry cadis. The second (sorry for the poor quality photo) was the largest fish of the day and was duped by the cadis drop. Got to Glade Run around 12:30 PM and switched to a thin mint bugger pattern on my way down stream. I picked up 2 very nice brookies (image 3 and 4 is one of them) and two small brookies. All and all a great day on Dunbar Creek.
