Hello All:

Fished Dunbar yesterday from 2 pm-6:30 pm. Water was up a bit but not bad considering the large amount of water SWPA received in the last few days. Started the day using the John Barr pattern Slumpbusters in Olive/chartruse...caught one nice brown and missed two others with tons of follows. Went to retie and dropped in the water (gone). Changed over to topwater and caught a number on size 16 sulphur. Picked up two. Missed many more. The fish were willing and a good few hours of fishing. Quite a few fly fisherman on the little stretch of water I was on...but there were so few places to fish and the weather was so nice I am surprised there weren't twice that many.

A special shout and and thank you to the guide that let me fish a stretch before the clients showed up...sorry I didn't get your name.

WOW Didn't know people guided Dunbar. I guess I should start guiding there, after all I have a hole named after me there.

This stream needs as many fly fishermen as possible. the locals poach the crap out of this stream and there is safety in numbers. A local TU member had a nasty confrontation there with a bait pelter during the week when there was no one else around.

He "let you fish"???? Last I heard, Dunbar was public water.

Guys, he was being a good guy...he was sort of fishing the hole and sort of hanging out....he walked down stream and asked if i wanted to try this hole...that it might be bit better than the water I was sort wedged in...

I think we was going to guide on Meadow or another stream but they were all pretty blown out...we were in the big rock hole below the top jack dam...might have been fishing your hole Albud...you are absolutely correct about the bait dunkers...and they are down right indignent about asking them to obey the law...had a run in like that about a year ago..also a lot of kids go up to swim in the jack dams...

oh well...try to give respect when possible...keep fishing boys...and girls..

Gonna take another crack at it tomorrow night...I live in lil washington so it is bit of a drive but no worse than anywhere else decent to fish...
